Custom Builds

When commissioning our company to build your next custom firearm, a $2500 deposit is required to get the build started. This deposit is non-refundable, at Akai discretion. Once the firearm is complete, we will contact you to arrange final payment prior to shipment. We will do our very best to supply a timeline for your custom build, but we can not guarantee it. Final payment must be made within 30 days of final invoice or we must put firearm up for sale.

Refund Policy

If a refund is requested and approved prior to 30 days from the order date, then it will incur a mandatory 20% cancellation fee.  We do not offer refunds on custom build deposits after 30 days.

Unfit, unused parts may be returned for a full refund within 30 days, minus shipping charges incurred by Akai. Return parts must be shipped attention to returns department with customer information including name, phone number, address, and reason for return. A member of our team will be in contact with you upon receiving the part to process any applicable refunds or exchanges.

Turnaround Time

We do our very best to keep our backlog as short as possible, mostly 6 to 9 months. We understand the frustration with custom builds that can take up to a year, we do not agree with them and wont do it.

Warranty

We warranty our guns 100% to the original owner, excluding transportation to and from our repair facilities, damage caused by failure to perform normal maintenance, sales outside the United States, damage due to use of high velocity, high pressure, reloaded or other nonstandard ammunition, normal wear and tear, or any unauthorized repair, modification, coating, finish, misuse, abuse, or alteration of the product. 

Shipment

You must include the following form with your firearm: Repair Form

Federal Law allows our customers to ship firearms or frames to us for service or repair. Make sure you do not use the Postal Service as it is a violation of Federal law. You can use Federal Express or UPS, but make sure you comply with their policies. Anything other than firearms or frames can be sent via Postal Service as well. If you are purchasing a new frame/firearm from us, please email us a copy of an FFL you would like to use. We can ship via Postal Service to another FFL to save on shipping costs.

Repairs/Custom Work

Effective immediately, due to overwhelming volume of work, we are unable to provide quotes on custom work and repairs, excluding warranty. The charge for repairs and custom work will be $85 per hour plus parts and shipping, as long as it takes, unable to provide estimate.

Privacy Policy

Akai Custom Guns does not retain any payment information collected from our customers, and all information collected during a sale is securely processed and not released to other merchants, vendors, individuals, etc. The personally identifiable information that you provide to us and information about your order may be combined with other personally identifiable information (such as demographic information and past purchase history) available from our records and other sources. We also use Pixel Tags to collect additional information regarding your browsing experience. This information will be used to make our future marketing efforts more efficient and to provide you with a more relevant and timely brand and shopping experience. This information may also be shared with our third party service providers that assist us with our marketing efforts and with other marketers whose products or services we feel may be of interest to you.
