How To Choose

You probably already have a pretty good idea of what you need right now, but we are here to help and guide you.

Custom or Semi-Custom?
We can create the gun of your dreams. We have a full CNC shop and can engineer almost anything you can think of. Whether to commemorate a special occasion or have one of a kind firearm that no one else has, we can do it. Call us or email us, and we will schedule a design session with a designer.

On the other hand, we have certain models that we produce on a regular basis, purpose engineered and tested designs. These have faster delivery times with the best options already chosen for you.

Full size or Commander size?
Full size firearms, meaning “Government” or 5″ barrels, are slightly heavier and absorb the recoil impulse better. Carry size firearms, meaning “Commander” or 4.25″ barrels, are shorter, slightly lighter, but conceal better.

What caliber?
We offer firearms in 9mm, 9X23, 38SC, 40S&W, 10mm, and 45ACP. The vast majority of our firearms are in 9mm and for several reasons. Modern day 9mm ammunition is very different than the past. Statistically, it is on par or better than the heavier rounds. The recoil impulse is much softer, the ammunition is very popular, inexpensive, and readily available. The magazine capacity is much larger than other calibers, the firearms last a lot longer, and are more reliable. If you need a different caliber, we will be happy to assist you.

Compensators and Porting
We build a lot of firearms with either compensators or porting for a simple reason, recoil control. In a fire fight or in competition, it is very important to send rounds quickly, consistently, and accurately. The ultimate goal is for all the rounds to hit the same target as quickly as possible. While compensators and porting both reduce felt recoil, there are some differences in the way they shoot. Compensators reduce felt recoil by quite a bit and do a better job stabilizing the aim from shot to shot. Porting does reduce recoil, but not quite as much as compensators.
