Important
Whether you need a firearm for competition or for defense, there are some very important factors that you must consider.
Reliability – The firearm must be dependable, must work at all times. With the proper care and maintenance, it should perform as intended and last you for many years.
We only use the very best parts that are available, but if we can’t find them, we manufacture them in house. Parts go through rigorous testing for hardness and proper dimensions. Every single firearm is expertly engineered, designed, and fit by our expert gunsmiths. All firearms go through QC testing before coating and after coating. They do not leave the factory unless we are satisfied with their performance.
Accuracy and Performance – The firearm must be ridiculously accurate. First, accuracy matters, in competition or in life or death situations. Second, guns don’t become more accurate as they age, so we extract maximum accuracy from the start.
We have been building firearms for competitions for over 14 years. Our firearms have been used by some of the best shooters in the world to win World Championships, National Championships, and more. Our background is in performance and it is what makes us the best.
Recoil Control – Whether in competition or defense, accuracy is measured by repeat performance, not a single shot. This is not bullseye, this is real life. The firearm needs to send rounds down range, as quickly as possible, and to the same spot.
We have spent our career engineering and designing firearms with the utmost focus on recoil control. Our guns have a few improvements over the off the shelf 1911s/2011s. These improvements are time consuming to make, but make all the difference in the way the firearms shoot. The Akai firearms are more accurate, easier to control, and softer shooting than the rest. That is the Akai difference.
